Comprehensive Active Optical Plenum HDMI Cables use active components in the connectors to perform electrical-to-optical signal conversion, drawing power from the HDMI port. Each Active Optical Plenum HDMI Cable is thin, light, flexible, and plenum rated to make it easy to pull through conduit.

• These are Active Fiber Optic Cables which contain an active chip to process and distribute the signal. In some cases, there can be performance or compatibility challenges with certain laptops, PC's or other sources depending on a variety of system conditions. Please call our support department if you experience any of these types of issues.
• This cable features a unidirectional design which requires the cable to be installed in the correct direction. The HDMI connectors are labeled "Source" and "Display" to ensure that the device and HDMI source are properly connected.
• Being a Fiber Optic Cable, it must be handled with more care than a copper cable during installation as extreme force and/or excessive or sharp bends could potentially damage or break the cable inside.
• External Power Option Included: In case if needs additional power, an USB power cable is included to provide external power option
• Optional HDMI Power adapter Included: In the event the active Optical Plenum HDMI Cable needs additional power; an HDMI/USB power adapter cable is included to provide external power to support some HDMI AV equipment that does not supply the sufficient 5V to the active chipset inside the Fiber Optic Cable. Please note the Power adapter cable should be placed at the Source end.
